Location: Optiven Homes (Construction) Centre, Kitengela.
Gross Salary Range: Ksh 40,000 – Ksh 60,000
Optiven Construction is the construction arm of Optiven Group, it has been in business for over 7 years, mainly building residential homes for customers who have bought plots with Optiven Limited and manufacturing concrete products like cabro, fencing poles and building blocks among others.
We work closely with our clients to accurately interpret their dreams/visions in drawings and bring them to the desired reality through construction solutions to meet their needs. We communicate with our clients throughout the construction process to keep them informed of progress and to ensure that our project is on schedule and within budget.
With past experience, Optiven Construction under Optiven Homes is desirous of expanding its operations so as to meet the growing housing needs of our customers and also support Government’s agenda for housing. We are looking for an experienced Electrician who will be installing and maintaining the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings.
Duties and responsibilities
- Panning layouts for electrical wiring for residential single and multiple dwellings, commercial buildings and other installations.
- Conducting electrical wiring for the buildings under construction, installing of electrical fittings, lighting systems, heating systems, control systems and any other equipment required.
- Diagnosing electrical faults in the existing installations, appliances and other equipment and working out repairs on the same.
- Performing general electrical maintenance on wiring systems, fittings and equipment.
- Managing assistant electrical technicians and observing strict adherence to the industry code or regulations and safety measures in the work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and replace all components of Electrical equipment in various construction sites.
- Deep knowledge in electrical systems, power generation, blueprint interpretation, maintenance and repair.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Good interpersonal skills and Team Spirit.
- Should be highly motivated.
- Good knowledge of various test equipment.
